How I Support College Students with ADHD

College can be exciting—and overwhelming.

ADHD coaching offers college students powerful, personalized support—helping them understand their unique brains and equipping them with tools to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

The ADHD brain struggles with executive function skills (such as prioritizing, planning, organization, time management, task initiation, and emotional regulation), which can interfere with achieving goals.

Often, this causes them to be very hard on themselves, losing sight of their strengths and talents while focusing on what they can’t do or haven’t done yet—chipping away at self-esteem.

But here’s the truth: You are NOT your ADHD.

As a coach, I help students reconnect with strengths, embrace how their brain works, and step into greater confidence and control by guiding them to:

  • Ease the transition to college life, especially during freshman year.
  • Strengthen executive function skills such as time management, prioritization, planning, focus, and organization.
  • Create daily routines and habits that support motivation, mindset, and academic success.
  • Challenge negative self-talk and build a more empowering inner narrative.
  • Identify their learning style and use it to study smarter, not harder.
  • Reconnect with personal strengths and leverage them to set meaningful, achievable goals.
  • Develop customized tools and strategies that support their unique brain to break through obstacles and achieve goals.

How I Support Young Adults with ADHD

For young adults stepping into life beyond school, ADHD coaching provides a compassionate space to build self-awareness, independence, and meaningful goals.

Many with ADHD carry shame or self-doubt from past failures or mishaps caused by executive function challenges.

Coaching helps rewrite that story—fostering self-compassion and acceptance while building personalized strategies for managing life’s responsibilities and reducing overwhelm. We collaborate to strengthen executive function skills, boost productivity, improve emotional regulation, and prioritize what matters most.

I arm them with tools, strategies, and confidence to take on what’s next by guiding them to:

  • Navigate independent living with greater ease and confidence.
  • Understand how their unique brain works—what gets in the way and strategies that help them thrive.
  • Identify meaningful goals and break them into clear, doable steps.
  • Create systems and routines that support motivation and follow-through.
  • Discover tools to get the boring-but-important stuff done without constant stress.
  • Embrace strengths, talents, and values—and use them to build a purposeful, fulfilling life.
